Kashan is one of the tourism hubs of the country; a city with an ancient and rich history. The industry of traditional textile, known as a forgotten art, is one of the attractions of Kashan along the architectural masterpieces specific to this city.
Kashan waiting for global registration as hub of textile industry
The textile industry is being destroyed due to the lack of necessary technology infrastructures, high level of imports and also its time consuming training process. “Considering the capacities of Kashan in traditional textile industry and the existence of workshops and active artists in this field, this city is the best option for the global registration as the traditional textile city,” the director general of Isfahan cultural heritage, handicrafts, and tourism organization said. “According to the capacities of Isfahan’s counties, we try to register a county nationally each year,” he emphasized.
Iran exported more than 210,000 tons of fishery products worth $650 million to 67 different countries in the previous Iranian calendar year (ended on March 19), according to the head of Iran’s Fishery Organization (IFO).
An official at the agricultural organization of Mazandaran province said that 125,700 tons of the kiwi and citrus fruits have been exported from this northern province of Iran since the current Iranian calendar year started (March 20, 2024).
The head of Iran’s Trade Promotion Organization (TPO) said the country has established a SWIFT-like financial system to do business with several countries in national currencies.
