TEHRAN, Aug. 29 (MNA) – Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Mohammad-Reza Gharaei Ashtiani said that strengthening the combat capability of the Armed Forces and upgrading defense systems will be the priority in the Ministry of Defense.
“We pursue the strengthening of the combat capability of the Armed Forces and the upgrading of defense systems in the face of severe, semi-hard and soft threats,” said Brigadier General Mohammad-Reza Gharaei Ashtiani on Sunday in a ceremony held for introducing him to the Ministry.
He also noted that strengthening the defense capability through new knowledge and innovations will be the priority in the Ministry of Defense.

Iran exported more than 210,000 tons of fishery products worth $650 million to 67 different countries in the previous Iranian calendar year (ended on March 19), according to the head of Iran’s Fishery Organization (IFO).
An official at the agricultural organization of Mazandaran province said that 125,700 tons of the kiwi and citrus fruits have been exported from this northern province of Iran since the current Iranian calendar year started (March 20, 2024).
