Tehran (ISNA) – Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman, Saeed Khatibzadeh stressed that perpetrators and commanders of assassination of Iranian scientist martyr Mohsen Fakhrizadeh will certainly be punished and all relevant administrators are following up the case.
Speaking at a weekly press conference on Tuesday, Khatibzadeh said, “The assassination of martyr Fakhrizadeh will not remained unanswered and perpetrators and commanders of the assassination will certainly be punished. But the important issue here is that we should not fall into the trap of fabricated news, counterintelligence campaigns, and misleading information which linked to Tel Aviv, Albania and Washington”.
“International community and many states including some Arab states neighboring the Persian Gulf have condemned the terrorist assassination of martyr Fakhrizadeh,” he added.
Answering a question about alleged martyrdom of an IRGC general in drone attacks in Syria, Khatibzadeh said, “I have heard nothing about the issue and spokesperson for the General Staff of the Armed Forces has to comment about”.
Regarding Britain’s debt to Iran, Khatibzadeh said, “Britain’s debt to Iran is certain and must be paid. The debt should have been paid a long time ago and it is growing day by day”.
