EghtesadOnline: Iran traded 213,886 tons worth $87.84 million with Russia during the first Iranian month (March 21-April 20), registering a 48.45% rise in tonnage and a 54.61% decline in value compared with the year before, latest data released by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration show.
Russia was Iran’s 11th biggest trading partner during the period.
Iran’s exports to Russia stood at 65,000 tons worth $25.71 million to register a 1.77% rise in tonnage and a 8.58% decrease in value year-on-year. It was Iran’s 13th export destination in the world.
Iran exported kiwi, tomatoes, cabbage, pistachios and dairy products to Russia during the month, Financial Tribune reported.
Russia exported 148,386 tons of commodities worth $62.12 million to Iran, up by 86.15% in tonnage and down 62.44% in value YOY respectively. It was the 10th exporter of goods to Iran during the period.
Iran mainly imported field corn, sunflower oil, barley and radio navigation devices from Russia.
