In a diplomatic meeting in Moscow, Iranian Ambassador to Russia Kazem Jalali engaged in discussions with Moussa Mohammed Abu Marzouk, a member of Hamas’s political bureau, ISNA reported on Sunday.

The talks focused on developments in the West Asia region with Abu Marzouk presenting a report on the current situation in Gaza.

The Zionist regime’s forces have suffered substantial losses due to the bravery of the resistance fighters, the Hamas official said.

Ambassador Jalali commended the steadfastness and endurance displayed by the people of Gaza against the Zionist regime.

He also reiterated Iran’s unwavering support for the Palestinian people and the resistance movement.

Additionally, Jalali underscored the responsibility of the international community and the United Nations Security Council to halt the barbaric actions of the Zionist regime, emphasizing the need to assist the oppressed people of Gaza.

According to Al Jazeera, Israeli military officials have been cited by Israel’s Channel 12 as saying that the number of Hamas fighters in Gaza was greater than they expected.
The army also reportedly claimed that many Palestinians in Gaza joined the group that rules the enclave after the war.

“The number of rockets and the length of the tunnels in Gaza surprised us, which means that the duration of the war will be much longer than we had planned,” the report said.
It also said that senior officials in the Israeli army “admit that there is no military possibility to release all abductees.”
