Exports via Iran’s Kermanshah up 23% in 11 months

Exports from the western Iranian province of Kermanshah increased 23 percent in the first 11 months of the current Iranian calendar year ending on March 19, a provincial official said on Monday.

Ali Asghar Abbaszadeh, head of the Kermanshah customs supervision department, told IRNA that the exports worthed $3.32 billion and weighed 6.59 million metric tons.
The figures show a 23 percent growth and a 5.0 percent increase in value and weight, respectively, compared to last year, Abbaszadeh said.

Also, products worth about $70.7 million have been imported to Kermanshah via provincial terminals, including Khosravi and Parviz Khan border points, the official said, adding that the imports in the mentioned period weighed 8,846 metric tons.

He added that the figures show a 29 percent growth and a 13 percent increase in value and weight, respectively.
The value of non-oil exports from Kermanshah province also rose 19 percent during the first 10 months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21, 2023-January 20, 2024), as compared to the same period of time in the past year.

According to Abbaszadeh, 6.076 million tons of non-oil goods worth $1.587 billion were exported from the province in the first ten months of this year, showing a nine percent rise in terms of weight, year on year.
As previously announced by the official, over 6.893 million tons of products worth $2.76 billion were exported from Kermanshah province in the past Iranian calendar year 1401 (ended on March 20, 2023).
Abbaszadeh said that the annual export from the province rose one percent in terms of value, and six percent in terms of weight.

He named rebar and ironware, tiles and ceramics, fruits and vegetables, constructional stones, dairy products, plastic products, and disposable containers as the major exported items.
The official further announced that 7.893 million tons of commodities worth over $55.917 million were imported to the province in the past year, with 16 percent fall in value and a 69 percent drop in weight, year on year.
He named aluminum alloy, labeling machine parts, production line equipment, filters, and compressors as the main imported products.
