Wagon Pars Company (an Iranian major manufacturer of wagons and locomotives) signed two contracts for the sales of 150 wagons to two domestic companies. The contracts were inked by Morteza Molanejad, the managing director of Wagon Pars, and the managing directors of the two mentioned companies on the sidelines of the first day of the 10th International Exhibition of Rail Transportation, Related Industries and Equipment of Iran, which was opened at the Tehran Permanent International Fairgrounds on Tuesday. As reported, these contracts, signed at the booth of MAPNA Group, are in line with the continuation of successful cooperation between Pars Wagon Company and these two companies. Wagon Pars Company was founded in 1974 and started manufacturing different types of rolling stock in 1984. The company presently manufactures approximately all kinds of freight wagons and passenger coaches, shunting and main line locomotives, train set (DMU’s), metro cars and airport passenger boarding bridges. MAPNA Group, a leading conglomerate in the energy and rail industries of Iran, took over Wagon Pars in December 2020.
