Hasan Bahram-Nia said that this province has won the top rank among the provinces of the country in terms of reviving stagnant production units.
Saying that efforts are being made to activate other semi-active and stagnant units in the province, the official emphasized that all the efforts of the economic team of the province are to revive the stagnant units, as well as materialize economic prosperity and employment in the province.

As previously announced by Jamil Shohani, the director of the office of coordination investment and employment affairs in the governorate of the province, 16 idle production units were revived in Ilam since the beginning of current Iranian calendar year (March 21, 2023).
He said that revving 30 stagnant units in the province has been targeted for this year.

Some 897 idle and semi-active production units have been revived in the country’s industrial parks in the first nine months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21-December 21, 2023), Mehr News Agency reported.
As reported, 1,240 new units have also been established in the country’s industrial parks and zones in the mentioned nine months.
The establishment and reviving of the mentioned units have created jobs for over 336,000 people across the country.
According to the Industry, Mining, and Trade Ministry’s latest statistics, more than 59,000 industrial units are active in the industrial parks and zones of the country, which have created jobs for about 1.3 million people.

Over the past few years, many of the production units across Iran have been wrestling with financial issues as well as the problem of supplying their raw materials, so that, many have been forced to shut down or decrease their activities.

The Industry Ministry’s program for revving such units has tried to identify major problems and issues that the production units are facing to bring them back into the production cycle by resolving such problems.

Back in November 2023, Industry, Mining, and Trade Minister Abbas Ali-Abadi inaugurated 20 industrial, infrastructure, and development projects valued at 294.8 trillion rials (over $58.9 million) in industrial parks and zones across the country through video conferencing.

The inauguration ceremony was also attended by the acting head of Iran Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization (ISIPO) Farshad Moghimi.
Put into operation in 11 different provinces, the mentioned projects were inaugurated on the occasion of the national day of supporting Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs).

The projects were carried out in the provinces of Kermanshah, Markazi, Zanjan, Yazd, Alborz, Lorestan, Sistan-Baluchestan, Golestan, Isfahan, Qazvin, and East Azarbaijan.
