Opening 4 phases of South Pars in one day matter of national pride

Speaking at the session of Administrative Council of Bushehr Province on Sunday evening, Dr. Hassan Rouhani said, “Neither in the Imposed War [with Iraq], not in the economic war, we were the starter, but we will stand strong”.

“We should resist making the United States that it is going the wrong direction,” said the President, stressing that “The judiciary should sue US authorities and the architects of sanctions for crimes against humanity”.

Appreciating the people of Kangan City and Bushehr Province for warmly welcoming the government, he said, “This is very important for the people to see that 100 million cubic metres has added to the capacity of gas transport in one day”.

“It is very important that we have opened 15 phases of South Pars Gas Field in the recent years, despite sanctions and pressures,” he said.The President also said, “When in a foreign meeting I announced that our gas production is one billion cubic metres in one day, they hardly believed, but today, we are self-sufficient in gas production, and this is a very valuable thing”.

Wherever we see a problem, it is because of the United States and the Zionists, he said, adding, “I wonder how the enemies could penetrate some people’s minds”.

“The path we have taken is right and we will continue that. From the first day of this government, I announced that we were seeking to cooperate with the whole world, and we were going to respect anybody who treated us with respect,” said Rouhani.The President also referred to the nuclear deal with world powers, saying, “We did an exceptional job with a historic agreement by taking the country out of Chapter VII, which is incomparable with anything else”.

He added, “A great, historic thing was done, and we should appreciate the hard work of our diplomats, but some seem to neglect this important job”.Referring to the unilateral withdrawal of the United States from the JCPOA, he said, “Of course, except for a couple of countries, the entire world denounced this move by the US, acknowledging our cooperation with the Security Council and the United Nations”.

“Americans keep saying that they have been tricked into the nuclear deal, but this is wrong and both sides enjoyed the benefits of the deal, and nobody was tricked,” he said.

President Rouhani went on to mention the new sanctions of the United States against Iran, saying, “Today, a superpower named the United States, Zionism and reactionaries in the region have joined hands against Iran, creating problems for Iran”.“They keep throwing rocks at our windows, breaking the glass; of course, we cannot make glasses that do not break when somebody throws rocks at it,” continued the President.

Stating that involving in a war is not possible without getting killed or injured, he said, “We will stand strong in these conditions until Americans understand that they have taken the wrong path, and they have to know that they have to respect the great Iranian nation”.
